Hello Knoch Soccer Families!
As this past Spring season has shown us, we need to upgrade our fields to better handle wet weather. We will be hosting a work weekend June 21st through 23rd to address the drainage issues. The drainage projects will help out both travel and in house teams, as all of the fields will be impacted.
Here is what we hope to accomplish this summer in the order it will be completed...
1- On field drainage systems for the U12 and U14+ fields
2. French drains-between U6/U8, between U8/U14+, between U12/farm field, between U14/hillside, u10 field
3. Spot repair of fields and fence line clearing throughout the summer.
The weekend of June 21st through 23rd is a full work weekend. On the afternoon of Friday the 21st, a sod cutter will be there to work on the on-field drainage systems. Saturday the 22nd we will have a trencher coming to dig the on-field drainage systems and the french drains, if time allows. We are hoping to have a few individuals volunteer equipment such as a few front loader tractors and a backhoe/excavator. We are also requesting that people bring more basic tools such as shovels, garden rakes, and wheelbarrows this day. Of course, the most important request is people, and a lot of them! Sunday the 23rd the work will continue wherever it left off on Saturday. This is a lot of work, but we know that with the help of the entire club, we will be able to complete these projects to improve the fields.
Please place these dates on your calendar and come and help us dig in the dirt! WE NEED YOU! Our goal as an organization is to provide a quality soccer experience for your kids at an affordable price. By volunteering your time and energy you help us to ensure that we accomplish that goal for kids in the program now and in the future! Additional work dates will be scheduled as needed.
If you are able to help with equipment, please let one of the below board members know so that we can keep track of what we have coming. Thank you so much!!!
